"He who loves silver
will not be satisfied with silver,
nor he who loves abundance,
with increase."
Ecclesiastes 5:10
One whose focus is
on money or wealth will never be satisfied. One whose focus is
advancement or fame will never be satisfied. For what do you lust? I
pray that you achieve it, only to prove to you that lust can never be
satisfied.
"For all that is in the world—
the
lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes,
and
the pride of life—
is not of the
Father but is of the world.
And the
world is passing away, and the lust of it,
but
he who does the will of God abides forever."

John 2:16-17
Jesus Christ taught that life here is short but
eternity is forever, therefore how important it is to acquire
treasure in heaven, not on earth. The wise person will place his/her
focus there and purposefully invest in his eternity.
"Do
not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where
moth and rust destroy
and where
thieves break in and steal;
but lay
up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where
neither moth nor rust destroys
and
where thieves do not break in and steal."
Matthew
6:19-20
The treasure we lay up for ourselves in heaven will
last forever, and forever is a long, long time.
As one grows
older and older time seems to pass more and more quickly. As we grow
older it should become more and more obvious that this life will soon
pass and shortly we will enter eternity. In this life you can make
decisions that will affect the life you will live for all eternity.
Put your focus there!
