Speaking of
John the Baptist:
“For this is he who was spoken of
by
the prophet Isaiah, saying:
'The voice of one crying in the
wilderness:
"Prepare the way of the Lord,
make his paths
straight.'"
Matthew 3:3
That was 2,000 years ago. And
now in this generation, we are working in the role of John - urging
people to come to repentance because the coming of the Lord is near.
John spoke concerning Jesus's first coming. We are speaking because
his second coming is at hand.
This is a special generation.
We are called to understand the signs of the “last days.” It
began with the restoration of Israel to the Jewish people after 2,000
years of their dispersion throughout the world. That day, May 14,
1948, was the signal to all who understand these things that this is
the generation that will see all the prophecies fulfilled.
In
the passage where Jesus told what would be the signs of “the last
days” he added:
“Verily I say unto you,
this
generation shall not pass,
till all these things be
fulfilled.”
Matthew 24:34
And they are being fulfilled
right before our eyes.
Hear a prophecy by Sir Isaac Newton in
the 17th century:
"About the time of the end,
a body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the
prophecies, and insist upon their literal interpretation, in the
midst of much clamor and opposition." -Sir Isaac Newton
That
is exactly what is happening now. Men in the spirit of John the
Baptist are seeing the prophecies being fulfilled and are calling all
to repentance, because they understand the days we are living in and
are desperate that men be saved.
Let those who have ears to
hear, hear therefore.
