The Eye Of The Heart

February 5

"I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear,
but now my eye sees you."
Job 42:5

It's interesting that he didn't say "my EYES see you." By saying "my EYE" sees you he's indicating that he's not seeing God with his physical eyes, but with his spiritual eye. Huge difference.

"But the natural man does not receive
the things of the Spirit of God,
for they are foolishness to him;
nor can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned."
1 Corinthians 2:14

There is a dimension superior to the one we are born into, the dimension of the spiritual world through which a born-again person lives in a far different world than he did previously. The natural man cannot experience it, in fact when you speak of spiritual things, the natural man will be bored and will change the subject. The Bible is "too difficult" for him and he has no interest in it, NOR CAN HE.

But at the new birth, all that changes. When the Spirit of the living God comes alive in the heart of a human being, everything changes. He hungers for the Word of God, he has the Lord on his mind continually, and his greatest enjoyment is speaking with other believers about the things of the Lord.

If you have not been born again, I urge you to seek the Lord Jesus Christ and ask for that re-creation which will be your foundation for the rest of your life. It's a grand adventure and oh how the believer wishes that all could share it.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
HE IS A NEW CREATION;

old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new."

2 Corinthians 5:17
