“For
we do not have a High Priest who cannot
sympathize
with our weaknesses,
but was in all
points tempted as we are,
yet without sin. Let us therefore
come
boldly to the Throne of Grace,
that
we may obtain mercy
and find grace to
help in time of need.”
Hebrews
4:15-16
Human beings are no match for the powers of darkness,
the enemies which are out to destroy us. They are stronger than us,
more intelligent than we are, and they know each of us, they know where we are
weak. But God does not leave us defenseless. His Word is full of
pointers and principles on how to deal with the enemy, be it the
world, the flesh, or the devil.
When you’re in a situation
that is too difficult for you, you are INVITED by God himself to come
to the Throne of God for help. And it is so vital, that he says to
come BOLDLY. The word "boldly" doesn't mean irreverence in
how we speak to God, but it does mean that he holds out the golden
scepter for anyone to approach him, that we might find "grace to
help in time of need."
The Lord thoroughly understands
our weaknesses and difficulties. At the Throne of grace we will find
his mercy, and there we will find help. Take courage and go before
him to find in him all that you need, in all the circumstances in
life. He will welcome you, and he will help you. "Come," he
says.
