How Satan Achieves His Goals In Your Life

 November 2

“Whoever commits adultery with a woman
lacks understanding;
he who does so destroys his own soul.”
Proverbs 6:32

Do you believe this?

When Satan tempts someone, he always portrays the temptation as something desirable. He portrays it as pleasure. He suggests excuses for it. HE NEVER TELLS THE END OF IT.

Satan’s methods haven’t changed. From the very beginning, he has always approached a person asking, “Did God really say…?” His chief method is to cast doubt on the Word of God.

Has he lied to you? What excuses have you made for sin?

In Genesis chapter 3 we see Satan approach Eve with his most-used M.O.:

“And he said to the woman, ‘Has God indeed said,
'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’”
Genesis 3:1

Eve answers that God said they could eat from all the trees except one, and that if they eat from that one, they will die.

Satan comes back with:

vs 4-5:
“You will NOT surely die!
For God knows that in the day you eat of it
your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God,
knowing good and evil.”

God said, “you will surely die,” and Satan says “you will NOT surely die.”

Satan is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44). His M.O. is always to put down the Word of God and convince a person that it’s really ok, never mind the words in that dusty old Book, nothing will happen to you.

When he seduces you with desire, the only way you won’t fall is if you know and have respect for the Word of God. And then you shall say to Satan, “Get thee behind me, Satan!”

“Therefore submit to God.
RESIST the devil and he will flee from you.
James 4:7
