Is Mary The Mother of Jesus A Virgin?

October 17

"His brothers therefore said to him,
'Depart from here and go into Judea,
that your disciples also may see
the works that you are doing...'
For even his brothers did not believe in him."
John 7: 3, 5

Scripture both here and in other passages makes known to us that Jesus had brothers and sisters. Religions deny this and try to explain it away saying they were just cousins, but the truth is that Jesus had brothers who are even named for us, and sisters as well.

"Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary,

and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon?
And are not his sisters here with us?”
Mark 6:3

It was necessary for Mary to be a virgin, because the child born had to be the sinless son of man as well as the son of God in order to be qualified to redeem mankind - but it was not necessary for Mary to remain a virgin afterwards. She was a married woman. There was no reason for her to deny her husband relations with her after Jesus was born.

"Then Joseph ...took to him his wife,
and did not know her
UNTIL
she had brought forth her firstborn Son."

Matthew 1:25

Religion has erected a whole cult around the "virginity of pure mother Mary." It is not only false doctrine, it is idolatry. Scripture makes it clear that we are not to bow before anyone or anything other than Christ himself. No one comes to the Father through the false doctrines concerning Mary or anyone else. Jesus said:

"No one comes to the Father
except through ME."
John 14:6

Satan perverts all the truths concerning Jesus Christ. He does not care what you believe as long as it's not the truth. Devotion to Mary is only one of the many heresies keeping people's eyes on someone besides the Savior.
