"Blessed is that man
who makes the Lord his
trust
and does not respect the
proud,
nor such as turn aside to
lies."
Psalm 40:4
It's a
hard thing for many to do -- to get one's eyes off the "experts"
and those who speak lies.
Think media -- why is it that we put
so much trust in what the media tell us, even though we know they are
furthering an agenda?
Counselors - they've been trained to
lead people into "feel good" thinking, building up the ego,
leading them to concentrate on self.
Professors -- perhaps the
most dangerous of all - they deceive the young and foster in them a
false world view. When a young person graduates from college he has
been thoroughly brainwashed in the philosophies of the world - which
have become for him a worldview of deception.
Instead, find
out what God has to say. You can't put your trust in both because
they present opposing views, they are from opposing kingdoms.
The world speaks well, they are very convincing ...but they are
wrong.
True wisdom and true guidance can be had only from God
who created you. He knows your future and understands your past. He
is the only one ABLE to truly guide.
God gave us his Word in
the Scriptures, intending that we should read it. From his Word one
will find the truth, the guidance needed, the right way to
proceed.
Get yourself a Bible and READ IT.
"...choose
for yourselves this day whom you will serve,
whether
the gods which your fathers served (false religion)
that
were on the other side of the river,
or
the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell (the world.)
But
as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

24:15
