How To Learn Great And Mighty Things

“CALL TO ME, and I will answer you,
and show you great and mighty things
which you do not know.”
Jeremiah 33:3

We pride ourselves in the knowledge and maturity we have gained as we get older, but that wisdom and knowledge is vastly inferior to the wisdom that comes from knowing the Lord. In fact, God calls the wisdom attained in the world “foolishness.”

“Let no one deceive himself.
If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age,
let him become a fool that he may become wise.
For the wisdom of this world is FOOLISHNESS with God…”
1 Corinthians 3:18-19

Look at the many kinds of counselors there are. “Mental health” counselors, finance counselors, professors in colleges and universities, even the media – the wisdom they claim – well, God calls it all “foolishness.” Our human minds want to reject that. HOW greatly we put our trust in these. They are experts, aren't they?

Well no. They are the voice of the world.

All of the above are men and women proud of what they've accomplished through the knowledge available in the world. They have diplomas, don't they? Even college degrees. Maybe they've written books. Yet - God calls the wisdom of the world foolishness.

The one who is truly wise will hold all that worldly counsel in distrust and instead call unto the Creator who holds their next breath in his power, because God has promised that if you call to HIM, he WILL answer you and he will show you great things, huge things, powerful things – things that till now you haven't known.

Call to him. God invites you.
