Every Eye Will See Him

“Behold, he is coming with clouds,
AND EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM,
even they who pierced him.
And all the tribes of the earth
will mourn because of him.
Even so, Amen.”
Revelation 1:7

The second coming of Jesus Christ couldn’t have taken place in any generation before this one, because this is the first generation in which it is possible for every eye to see him when he comes.

This is the first generation in which this is possible, because of satellites and technology. With tv and the internet, the news media can capture any event anywhere in the world, and every eye can view the news happening in real time. If a horrific event breaks out in the far east, for example, we can watch it on our tv sets or on our computers or phones, that same day, even with live coverage. This has never been possible until this generation.

Jesus said that the end will come only when the Gospel has been preached in all the world. Till now, that meant that missionaries tried to take the Gospel to every nation on earth. But even more than that — now we can reach the world and preach the Gospel everywhere – through our computers, our phones, the internet, and through tv broadcasts. No generation before ours could ever have imagined anything like this.

“And this gospel of the Kingdom
will be preached in all the world
as a witness to all the nations,
and then the end will come.”
Matthew 24:14

Never until now has it been possible for all the conditions to be in place for the fulfillment of the prophecies of "the last days."
