Have You Broken The Law of God?

March 28

"Therefore by the deeds of the law
no flesh will be justified in his sight,
for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:20

All have sinned. That includes Mother Theresa, Billy Graham, and you and me. It includes Mary the mother of Jesus, for she confessed God as her
SAVIOR, thus acknowledging that she is like all of us - in need of a Savior.

"My soul magnifies the Lord,

and my spirit has rejoiced in God my SAVIOR."
Luke 1:47

Goodness will not save any human being. Anyone who seeks to be saved by good works and following the law must remember this: if you break ANY of the law, you've broken it all.

"For whoever shall keep the whole law,

and yet stumble IN ONE POINT, he is guilty of all."
James 2:10

It's like a glass. If you break a glass, you've broken the whole thing. It doesn't matter which part of the glass is still there, or which part is more broken than other parts, the glass is broken and once broken, there is no hope of fixing it.

"Therefore by the deeds of the law NO flesh will be justified..."

Romans 3:20

We are all sinners, and there is ONLY ONE remedy - the atonement made for us by Jesus Christ. He took upon himself the judgment on ALL our sin. He bore the judgment on every horrific sin you've ever committed, as well as for every "little white lie" you've told. So if the judgment on your sin has already been borne, then you are free - if you're in him. By faith in him, and in him ALONE, are we saved.

"ALL we like sheep have gone astray;

We have turned, every one, to his own way;
and the Lord HAS LAID ON HIM (Jesus) the iniquity of us all."
Isaiah 53:6
