"For this reason I also suffer these
things;
nevertheless, I am not ashamed,
for I know whom I have
believed
and am PERSUADED that he is able to keep
what I have
committed to him until that day."
2 Timothy 1:12
Paul
was PERSUADED about the faithfulness of God, even as he endured great
suffering. People love to sing "Great Is Thy Faithfulness,"
but how many have truly given that some thought?
Herein is
patience, those who know the Lord and have walked with him for some
time know that a lot of time goes by between a promise and the
realization of it, and in the meantime many trials come upon the
believer. It requires therefore, patience and a sure heart and a
persuasion, knowing that those who wait on the Lord will certainly
and truly find him faithful.
Waiting is one of the most
difficult parts of the Christian experience, but when the promise
comes, it far surpasses what the believer in any way expected.
"Now
to him who is able to do
EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE
all that
we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us,
to
him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus
to all
generations,forever and ever."
Ephesians 3:20-21
