The Way To Happiness

Do you not know that friendship with the world
is enmity with God?
Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world
makes himself an enemy of God."
James 4:4

Why?

Because the principles of the world are in direct contradiction to the Word of God. The philosophies of the world revolve around how to be happy, successful, wealthy, admired, and how to make sure you get your "rights."

But the Word of God tells you to take up your CROSS and follow Him.

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
who, being in the form of God,
did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
but made himself of no reputation,
taking the form of a servant,
and coming in the likeness of men.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself and became obedient
to the point of death, even the death of the cross."
Philippians 2:5-8

Yes, let THIS mind be in you…

"Therefore humble yourselves
under the mighty hand of God,
that he may exalt you in due time,
casting all your care upon him,
for he cares for you."
1 Peter 5:6-7

Though the world promises you success, wealth and happiness, it cannot deliver. Some of the most wealthy are the most miserable.

You are as unique as your fingerprints, and God's plan for your life is totally personalized to the way he made you. Humble yourself before him, and with a surrendered heart seek to know his will for your life, and you will end up with a happiness that the world in all its glory could never give you.
