"The
coming of the Lawless one (the Antichrist)
is
according to the working of Satan,
with
all power, signs, and lying wonders,
and
with all unrighteous DECEPTION
among those who perish,
BECAUSE
they did not receive the love of the truth,
that
they might be saved."
2
Thessalonians 2:9-10
The Antichrist is not going to appear as
an evil tyrant. Who he is will not be obvious at first because he
comes in peacefully and he will be accepted and even loved by all who
did not love one thing --- "the truth."
BECAUSE
they did not love the truth, God will give them over to STRONG
DELUSION and they "will believe the lie."
vs
11-12:
"And for this reason God
will send them strong delusion,
THAT
THEY SHOULD BELIEVE THE LIE,
that
they all may be condemned
who did not
believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
This
is a very special generation, the period of time when the prophesied
and terrible seven-year Tribulation is imminent. It seems that the
strong delusion has already been sent because what we see by those
who "did not receive the love of the truth" is almost
unbelievable. They are behaving in ways that would have been called
insane just a generation ago.
It's all about truth, and truth
might not be what you think it is. Obviously those who are deceived
aren't aware that they're deceived.
Each person must question
whether what he believes is the truth. In many cases, he'll find that
it isn't, and then he'll have some very hard decisions to
make.
Question: If the truth is not what you were raised to
believe, would you want to remain with the traditions of your
forefathers, or would you want to know the truth?
“Surely
our fathers have inherited lies,
worthlessness
and unprofitable things.”
Jeremiah
16:19
